About Dr. Holly Kelly
Dr. Holly Kelly has been practicing spinal rehabilitation and pain management since 2003 and has worked with the California Orthopedics & Spine team for over ten years. A San Rafael native, Dr. Kelly loves to give back to the community that she grew up in and sees patients from all over Marin County and the surrounding communities and cities.
Dr. Kelly strives to provide every patient with an outstanding experience at California Orthopedics & Spine. When a patient comes in, she understands that it is likely the most important thing they are doing that day. She works hard to provide every patient with respect and to be accommodating to their needs. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help someone with horrible pain return to a normal lifestyle through simple (often nonoperative) treatment.
Education and Training
Dr. Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in biology at Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH. She returned to the Marin area where she worked as a physical therapy aid before returning to the mid-west to complete her medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. She was drawn to the dramatic impact she could make in the lives of patients through the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialty. So, after completing a one-year internal medicine internship at Cal Pacific, Dr. Kelly completed a residency at UC Davis Medical Center where she gained hands-on experience in nonoperative orthopedic treatment.
Dr. Kelly also completed a fellowship in Pain Management and Anesthesia at UC Davis, before accepting a position with Kaiser following her training. Dr. Kelly first connected with the team at California Orthopedics & Spine through her husband, an established Marin physical therapist, and brings a wealth of conservative treatment experience to the practice. She specializes in spinal evaluation and treatment and focuses her practice on nonoperative spinal care, rehabilitation program management, and pain medication management. She provides a variety advanced treatments including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency neuroablation, PRP injections, and much more.
Certifications
Dr. Kelly is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She was required to complete a rigorous two-part exam, covering the full scope of her specialty. This certification signifies that Dr. Kelly has taken every step possible to ensure her patients are receiving the valuable, high-quality, and accountable care.
